Non NHS Examinations

Medical examinations for specific purposes eg HGV, Taxi, PSV, Elderly Driver, Pre-employment, Fitness to Travel and Insurance Medicals are undertaken by special appointment. A fee will be payable. Please enquire at time of booking.

Vaccinations and  Advice

We offer a comprehensive range of travel vaccines and travel advice. Unfortunately we are unable to offer yellow fever vaccinations. These are done at "Yellow Fever Centres".

If you require injections prior to travelling abroad please see the nurse approximately 6 weeks before travel. This allows time for immunisations to be given. If you are unsure whether or not you require injections or malaria prophylaxis for your travel our nurse will be pleased to advise you. There are charges for these injections details of which can be obtained from the Practice Nurse or Reception.

If you require foreign travel vaccinations please fill in our PDF Travel Form Please print it out, fill in the details and send or take it to the surgery.

For further information and travel advice please see this very useful web site   Nathnac.org   which contains advice about vaccines, malaria prevention, traveller's diarrhoea, sun advice and a host of other essential information.

Please note if you are thinking of booking a late deal or travelling last minute, we DO NOT have last minute appointments for holiday immunisations.

Minor Surgery

We have been commissioned by the Clinical Commissioning Group to provide minor surgery. Your doctor will be able to advise further.

Cervical Smears

All routine cervical smears are now undertaken by our Practice Nurses. All repeat smears are no longer undertaken by a female GP, they are undertaken by the Practice Nurses.

National guidelines for smear intervals commence at age 25 on a 3 yearly basis until age 50 then every 5 years until 65.
